Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1-1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2-3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp white sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375-degrees.
2. Cream sugar and shortening; stir in eggs.
3. Sift together dry ingredients and combine with wet ingredients.
4. Prepare topping (sugar and cinnamon).
5. Make walnut-sized balls and roll them in the topping.
6. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Notes
This is a classic and it's not hard to see why.
