Basic Chili

Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
1 can kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can refried beans

Directions
1. In a large pot, brown ground beef with salt, diced onion, and garlic.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for an hour.
3. Serve with cheese, sour cream, fresh diced tomatoes, or chips.

Notes
I want to try this with 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 vegetarian beef substitute.  We got a big can of vegetarian beef substitute from WinCo for $1 a pound and I am excited to try it out.
