Savory Crescent Chicken Squares

Ingredients
3 oz. softened cream cheese
2 T. melted margarine
2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 T. milk
1 T. chopped green onion
1 8 oz. Pillsbury refrigerated Quick Crescent Rolls
3/4 cup crushed seasoned croutons
1 T. melted margarine
Sauce:
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 pint sour cream

Directions
1. Blend cream cheese with margarine, milk, chicken, and seasonings, and onion, mixing well.
2. Serparate rolls into 4 rectangles; seal perforations.  Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto center of each rectangle.  Pull 4 corners of dough to center of mixture; twist and seal.
3. Brush tops with 1 T. melted margarine; dip in croutons.
4. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
5. Blend sauce ingredients together and heat to boiling.  Serve over chicken squares.

Notes
This is my sister's favorite dish so we made it for her visit this week.  It was a lot heavier than I remember and I didn't even make it with the sauce!  Still, it's delicious.
